Cleaning Services in Ocala, FL: Recurring, Deep and Move-Out Cleans Compared

Most people who call us ask for a cleaning, and then we ask a few questions back. Is the home lived in or empty? When was it last cleaned from top to bottom? Do you want us once, or on a schedule? The answers point to one of three different jobs, and they differ in what gets cleaned, how long we are in the house and how the price is built.

This page is the overview of every cleaning service we offer in Ocala, Florida. It sets the three cleans side by side, shows which one fits which situation, explains how a home moves from one to another, and covers how quoting and booking work for all of them. Each clean also has a page of its own with the full checklist, and this page links to it and leaves the detail there.

We are Palma Cleaning. We clean homes in Ocala and the nearby parts of Marion County, and Google lists us as a House cleaning service. Our profile there showed a rating of 4.9 from 52 reviews when it was read on October 3, 2026. The about page says more about who we are.

The three cleans in one paragraph

Recurring house cleaning keeps a lived-in home clean on a weekly, two-week or monthly schedule, and most Ocala homes take 1.5 to 3 hours a visit. A deep clean is a longer one-time visit, typically 4 to 6 hours, that adds the oven interior, a scrub of the shower and bathtub and baseboards washed by hand. A move-in or move-out clean is for an empty home, and it adds the insides of the refrigerator, cabinets and drawers. All three are quoted free, use our own products and equipment, and come with 48 hours to ask for a re-clean.

Not sure which clean you need? Call us, describe the home, and we will tell you which one fits and quote it.

Our three cleans, side by side

The table compares the three on the points people ask about first. Times are the ones we publish. Where we publish no figure, the table says so instead of guessing.

Two things in that table decide most bookings. The first is the top row: a home with furniture and belongings in it gets a recurring or deep clean, and an empty one gets the move-in or move-out clean. The second is the block of rows from the oven down. Those jobs are the slow ones, and whether they are add-ons or part of the visit is the real difference between a standard clean and the two longer ones.

We also publish a room-by-room checklist that sets the same three cleans side by side, so you can check any single task before you call.

Recurring house cleaning

This is the visit most of our clients have. We come on a set schedule and work through one published checklist each time: bathrooms, bedrooms, the kitchen, living areas, hallways and stairs. Every visit is a standard cleaning, so the list on the first visit is the list on every visit after it.

  • Schedules. Weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Every two weeks is what most of our Marion County clients choose.
  • Time. 1.5 to 3 hours for most Ocala homes, depending on size and condition. Visits after the first usually go faster.
  • Price. The first visit of a new plan is charged at the full one-time price, and the visits after it cost less.
  • Add-ons. The inside of the oven, the refrigerator and the cabinets, and baseboards washed by hand, can be added to any visit.

The room-by-room list, the difference between the first visit and the later ones, and how keys, codes and pets are handled are all on our house cleaning Ocala page.

Deep cleaning

A deep clean starts from the standard checklist and adds the jobs a regular visit does not reach. The oven interior is degreased and cleaned. Showers and bathtubs are scrubbed where a standard visit wipes the tile. Baseboards are washed by hand in every room where a standard visit dusts them. In the living areas, furniture is wiped down or vacuumed and interior windows and blinds are cleaned.

  • Time. Typically 4 to 6 hours, so plan on half a day or more. A larger home, or one that has not been professionally cleaned recently, can take longer.
  • When it fits. Before recurring visits start, after a long gap without a full clean, or when the build-up is in the oven, the shower or on the baseboards.
  • What to name on the call. The inside of the refrigerator and the insides of cabinets and drawers, if you want them done, so that each is written into the quote.

The full list of what a deep clean adds in each room, how to prepare for a long visit and what it does not cover are on our deep cleaning Ocala page.

Move-in and move-out cleaning

This clean is built for a home with nothing in it. Because the rooms are empty, we can reach the floor where the bed stood, the full run of every baseboard and the inside of every cabinet. The oven interior, the inside of the refrigerator and the insides of cabinets, drawers, pantry and closets are all part of the job. A move-in clean follows nearly the same checklist, so the cabinets and the refrigerator are clean before anything of yours goes into them.

  • Who books it. Tenants handing back keys, homeowners who have sold, landlords and property managers turning a unit, and buyers and new tenants moving in.
  • What it needs. An empty home, with the water and the electricity still on through clean day.
  • Time. We do not publish a set time for it. Ask for the expected time when you call if a walkthrough has to follow the same day.

The checklist, the Florida deposit deadlines and how to time the clean between the movers and the walkthrough are on our move out cleaning Ocala page.

Which cleaning service fits your home

Most calls sound like one of the situations below. Find the line closest to yours and you have the clean to ask about. If two lines fit, tell us both and we will sort it out when we quote.

Your situationThe clean to ask forWhy
The home is kept up and you want it to stay that wayRecurring house cleaningA standard visit maintains a home that is already clean
It has been three months or more since a full cleanA deep clean, then a scheduleA standard visit is not built to bring a home back from a long gap
A wipe no longer clears the film in the shower, or the oven has baked-on greaseA deep cleanScrubbing the shower and tub and cleaning the oven interior are on the deep list
You only want one or two extra jobs, such as the ovenA standard clean with add-onsSingle jobs can be added to a visit without booking the longer clean
You want a clean house once, with no scheduleA one-time standard clean, or a deep cleanWhich of the two depends on the condition of the home
You are leaving a rental or have sold the houseA move-out cleanThe home is empty, and the insides of the appliances and cabinets are included
You have the keys to a new place and the boxes have not arrivedA move-in cleanIt follows nearly the same checklist as a move-out clean, before your belongings come in
You are a landlord or property manager with a unit to turnA move-out cleanIt is the clean for a home between one occupant and the next

One situation does not fit the table neatly: a move where the furniture is still in the house. A move-out clean assumes an empty home. If you want a thorough clean ahead of moving day, while your things are still in place, that is a deep clean. Tell us the move date and whether the home will be empty on clean day, and we will book the right one.

Moving from one clean to another

The three cleans are not separate tracks. Many homes use two of them, and some use all three over the years.

A deep clean first, then a schedule

This is the most common path. Many of our clients book a deep clean as their first service, then keep the home up with standard visits every week or every two weeks. When a home has not been cleaned in a while, it is also what we recommend: one deep clean to bring the home to a baseline, then regular visits to hold it there. The deep clean does the slow work once, and the standard visits that follow keep the build-up from returning.

A rough test is the three-month mark. Our pricing page adds no condition charge for a home cleaned within about the last three months, and it treats a longer gap as a home in need of a reset. If you are past that mark, ask us about starting with the deep clean. If you are inside it, a standard first visit is likely enough.

A standard clean with one or two add-ons

Not every home needs the longer visit. If the house is in good order and only the oven or the baseboards bother you, add that one job to a standard visit. If you find yourself asking for most of the add-ons at once, the deep clean is the better booking, because those jobs are already part of it.

From a schedule to a move-out clean

A recurring client who is moving needs a different final visit. The last standard clean works around the furniture, and the handover needs the empty-home clean after the movers have gone. Tell us the moving date as soon as you have it. Changing or cancelling a booked visit takes 48 hours’ notice, so it is easier to plan the last regular visit and the move-out clean together.

From a move-in clean to a schedule

The other direction works the same way. A move-in clean leaves an empty home clean before the boxes arrive, and a recurring plan keeps it that way once you have settled. Ask about both when you call and we will quote each one.

Call us with the state of the home and what you have planned for it, and we will lay out the order of cleans and a price for each.

How quoting works for every clean

All three cleans are quoted the same way. You describe the home, we work out the price from our published rates, and you get a figure before anything is scheduled. Quotes are free. The price on your quote is always the one that counts.

The formula is on our pricing page, and it starts with a standard cleaning. At the 2026 rates the base is set by bedrooms and runs from $150 for one bedroom to $325 for six. Each full bathroom adds $25 and each half-bath $15. There is no size surcharge under 1,500 square feet, and a home of 4,000 square feet or more is priced after a free walkthrough in person. Pets, the condition of the home and any add-ons are counted after that. Every line of the formula is set out on our house cleaning Ocala page, so it is not repeated here.

The other two cleans are built on that standard price. A deep clean is the standard price for the home plus a set deep-clean charge, and a move-in or move-out clean is the standard price plus a set move-out charge. Both charges are lower for a home under 1,000 square feet. We do not print one figure for either on this page, because each is worked out from the home. Ask for the figure, and for what it covers, when we quote.

No sales tax is added to any of the three. The Florida Department of Revenue says charges for cleaning residential facilities are not taxable, and its examples include single-family dwellings, apartments, duplexes and residential condominiums.

What to tell us, by clean

Every quote needs the bedrooms, the full bathrooms and half-baths, the rough square footage and whether there are pets. After that, the useful details depend on the clean.

CleanWhat else to tell us
Recurring house cleaningHow often you want us, any rooms to skip, and how you would like us to get in when you are out
Deep cleaningWhen the home was last cleaned from top to bottom, and whether you want the refrigerator or the insides of cabinets added
Move-in or move-out cleaningThe move date, the walkthrough date, whether the home will be empty, and anything the lease or the landlord asks for

Describe the home as it is. Its condition is part of the price and decides how much time we set aside, so an accurate description gets you an accurate quote.

How booking works

There are two ways to start, and both lead to a quote first.

  1. Call us, or send the form. Calling is the fastest way to get a price. The quote form on our home page asks for the kind of clean, how often, the bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage, and it has an option for people who are not sure yet which clean they need.
  2. Get the quote. We reply with a price for the home and the clean you described, and we recommend a schedule if you asked about recurring visits.
  3. Approve it and pick a day. Sending the form or calling does not book a visit by itself. A clean is scheduled once you approve the quote. Most clients can book within two to three business days, and a same-day visit depends on availability, so call as early as you can.
  4. Arrange the way in. You do not need to be home. Many clients give us a key, a garage code or a lockbox.
  5. Clean day. We bring the products, microfiber cloths, vacuums and mops. We message you when we arrive and again when we finish, and offer a walkthrough if you are home.

If you are not sure which clean to ask for

You do not have to decide before you call. Tell us whether the home is lived in or empty, when it was last cleaned thoroughly, and what bothers you most. Those three answers are usually enough for us to name the clean and quote it.

The rules that apply to every clean

Our terms were last updated on April 17, 2026, and they are the same whichever clean you book. What changes is which rule tends to matter most.

RuleWhat our terms sayWhere it matters most
Cancelling or reschedulingAt least 48 hours’ notice. With less notice, including on the day, 50 percent of the booking is chargedA deep clean, which holds a slot of 4 to 6 hours, and a move-out clean tied to a moving date
Clutter50 percent of the booking if belongings piled on surfaces stop us cleaning effectivelyRecurring and deep cleans, where the home is lived in
Water and electricity50 percent of the booking if either is unavailableMove-out cleans, when the utility account is closed before clean day
The re-clean48 hours from the end of the visit to report something not done to standard. We return and re-clean those areas at no chargeEvery clean. On a move-out, hold the landlord’s walkthrough inside the 48 hours
DamageReport it within 24 hours of the visit so that we can assess itEvery clean
PetsKeep them secured in a safe area while we workRecurring and deep cleans

The re-clean has two conditions in our terms: the request has to relate to the job that was booked, and the home has to be in much the same state as we left it. If you can see a clutter or utilities problem coming, tell us as early as you can, ideally at least 48 hours before the visit, and we will reschedule with no penalty.

Two more points hold across all three. We do our best to send the same team to a recurring home. And you can ask us to use your own products, or eco-friendly ones, if someone in the home has an allergy or a sensitivity. Say so when you book.

What none of our cleans include

A few jobs sit outside all three cleans. It is better to read them here than to find out on the day.

  • Dishes. We do not wash them.
  • Animal waste. We do not clean up pet accidents, litter boxes or other animal waste.
  • Biohazards. We do not clean up blood or bodily fluids.
  • Heavy decluttering. We straighten as we go, but under our terms we are there to clean, not to sort or relocate belongings.
  • Carpet shampooing and repairs. Neither is on our published checklists. If a lease asks for professional carpet cleaning, raise it when you call.

Everything on this site is about cleaning homes. If you need something that is not listed on this page, ask, and we will tell you plainly whether we take it on.

Where our cleaning service works in Ocala and Marion County

All three cleans are offered across the same area. In the city, our own service pages name historic downtown Ocala, southwest and southeast Ocala, and the I-75 and SR 200 corridors. The communities they name include Fore Ranch, Heath Brook, Stone Creek, Oak Run, Golden Hills, On Top of the World, Calesa Township, Spruce Creek and Marion Oaks. Elsewhere in Marion County they name Silver Springs, Belleview, Dunnellon and the area around the World Equestrian Center. The Ocala ZIP codes they list are 34470, 34471, 34474, 34476, 34480 and 34481.

That list is not a boundary. Travel is included for the majority of visits inside our Marion County area, so give us the address when you call and we will confirm it before we quote.

The mix of homes here is part of why we offer three cleans and not one. In the Census Bureau’s 2024 American Community Survey, as published by Census Reporter, about half of the city’s housing units are detached single-family houses, and about 46 percent of its occupied homes are rented. An owner who is staying wants the home kept up. A tenant at the end of a lease needs it empty and handed over clean.

If you came here for facts about Ocala itself, our home page covers what the city’s climate and water mean for a clean house.

Call us for a quote on any of the three cleans. Have the bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage and the date you want ready.

Questions people ask

What cleaning services do you offer in Ocala?

Three, all for homes. Recurring house cleaning on a weekly, two-week or monthly schedule, which can also be booked as a one-time standard clean. A deep clean, which is a longer one-time visit that adds jobs such as the oven interior and a scrub of the shower and bathtub. And a move-in or move-out clean for an empty home, with the insides of the refrigerator, cabinets and drawers included.

Which clean should I book if I am not sure?

Call and describe the home. We ask whether it is lived in or empty, when it was last cleaned from top to bottom, and what bothers you most. An empty home gets the move-in or move-out clean. A lived-in home that is kept up gets a standard visit. A lived-in home after a long gap, or with build-up in the oven and the shower, gets a deep clean.

Can I start with a deep clean and then move to a recurring schedule?

Yes, and many of our clients do. The deep clean brings the home to a baseline, and standard visits every week, every two weeks or once a month keep it there. When a home has not been cleaned in a while, that is the order we recommend. Ask for both prices when we quote.

How is each clean priced?

All three start from our published standard price: a base set by bedrooms, from $150 for one bedroom to $325 for six, plus $25 for each full bathroom, $15 for each half-bath and a size step from 1,500 square feet. A deep clean adds a set deep-clean charge to that, and a move-in or move-out clean adds a set move-out charge. The price on your quote is the one that counts.

How long does each clean take?

A standard clean takes 1.5 to 3 hours in most Ocala homes, depending on size and condition. A deep clean typically takes 4 to 6 hours. We do not publish a set time for a move-in or move-out clean, because it depends on the size and state of the home. Ask for the expected time when you call.

Can I book a single standard clean without signing up for a schedule?

Yes. Our published base prices are for a one-time standard cleaning, and you can book one without a plan. Recurring service costs less per visit than a one-time clean, so if you expect to want us again, ask for the recurring price as well.

Can I add the oven or the refrigerator to a regular visit instead of booking a deep clean?

Yes. On a standard visit the inside of the oven, the inside of the refrigerator and the inside of the cabinets are add-ons, listed on our pricing page at $50 each, and hand-wiped baseboards are $40. If you want most of the add-ons at once, ask us about a deep clean, because several of those jobs are already part of it.

Is a deep clean before a move the same as a move-out clean?

No. A deep clean works around the furniture and belongings in a home that is still lived in. A move-in or move-out clean assumes the home is empty, which is what lets us clean inside the cabinets, drawers and refrigerator. Tell us the move date and whether the home will be empty on clean day, and we will book the one that fits.

Does sending the quote form book a visit?

No. The form on our home page, or a call, gets you a quote. A clean is scheduled once you approve that quote and we agree a day. Most clients can book within two to three business days, and a same-day visit depends on availability.

Do the same cancellation and re-clean rules apply to every clean?

Yes. Whichever clean you book, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, and our terms charge 50 percent of the booking with less notice. After any visit you have 48 hours to tell us about something that was not done to standard, and we return to re-clean those areas at no charge.

Are all three cleans offered across the whole area you cover?

Yes. Recurring, deep and move-in or move-out cleans are all offered across the same parts of Ocala and Marion County. The Ocala ZIP codes our own pages list are 34470, 34471, 34474, 34476, 34480 and 34481, and the places they name include Silver Springs, Belleview and Dunnellon. The list is not a boundary, so call with your address and we will confirm it.
